Coast Guard Rescues Injured Woman West of Hernando Beach
A Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater aircrew rescued a 42-year-old woman on Aug. 22, 2023, after she suffered a back injury aboard a 34-foot boat 73 miles west of Hernando Beach. Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg watchstanders were notified that the boat took a wave and the woman fell to the deck.
