Coast Guard Rescues Injured Hiker from Mount Larrabee
A U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Port Angeles helicopter crew rescued an injured hiker from a steep gully on Mount Larrabee in Washington on June 20, 2026. The rescue was carried out under extreme conditions at an altitude of 6,710 feet.

Flying a helo at altitude can be tricky -- especially close to uneven terrain.
