Coast Guard Rescues Diver Off Indian Rocks Beach

A Coast Guard Station Sand Key boat crew rescued a 52-year-old diver on April 28, 2024, after she reportedly showed symptoms of decompression sickness aboard a commercial diving vessel 16 miles west of Indian Rocks Beach.

Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg watchstanders were notified around 3:10 p.m. by dive boat personnel. The diver became ill after completing a 41-minute dive at 80 feet.
