Coast Guard Rescues Boater Near Nahma After Medical Emergency
A Coast Guard Air Station Traverse City MH-60 Jayhawk crew rescued a vessel operator experiencing a medical emergency on Lake Michigan near Nahma, Michigan, on July 13, 2025. The person was aboard an anchored 16-foot pleasure craft. An aviation survival technician was deployed from the helicopter, and the survivor was safely hoisted. The helicopter crew transported the survivor to a nearby airport, where emergency medical services were waiting.
