Coast Guard Rescues Boater East of Pinellas Point
On Jan. 16, 2022, a Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew observed an abandoned 40-foot vessel 4 miles east of Pinellas Point after its owner left the vessel in a kayak. A Coast Guard Station St. Petersburg boat crew brought the boater in distress aboard and took him to Bayfront Health Hospital, where emergency services personnel were waiting to assist.  ·
