Coast Guard Rescues Boater 185 Miles West of Fort Myers
A Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater MH-60 Jayhawk and C-27J Spartan aircrew rescued a boater from a 40-foot sailing vessel taking on water 185 miles west of Fort Myers on March 15, 2024. The boater was airlifted and taken to Tampa Fire Rescue emergency medical services at Peter O. Knight Airport.
