Coast Guard air and surface crews rescued three U.S. citizen mariners after their sailing vessel Valour began taking on water in the Atlantic Ocean on June 23, 2022, about 300 nautical miles north of Puerto Rico.

The mariners had been sailing from Tortola, British Virgin Islands, to the British island of Bermuda.

Coast Guard Cutter Joseph Tezanos towed Valour for three days and brought it into safe harbor at Fajardo, Puerto Rico, on the morning of June 26. The overall response lasted four days.
