Coast Guard Rescues 2 Hikers from Cliff Near Neahkahnie Beach
A Coast Guard Sector Columbia River MH-60 Jayhawk aircrew rescued two hikers from a coastal cliff near Neahkahnie Beach in Manzanita, Oregon, on Monday, April 25. The hikers were reportedly stranded by the rising tide after venturing down from a higher roadside vantage point. An aviation survival technician was lowered from the helicopter. The aircrew hoisted the hikers and transported them to awaiting emergency medical personnel nearby.
