Coast Guard Rescues 2 from Grounded Sailboat in Sapelo Sound
A Coast Guard Air Station Savannah MH-65 helicopter aircrew rescued two men on April 29, 2022, after the sailing vessel Valkyrie became aground in Sapelo Sound, Georgia. The aircrew had been conducting training nearby. They hoisted both men and transferred them to Hunter Army Airfield with no medical concerns.
