Coast Guard Medevacs Two After Dry Bay Airstrip Crash
Coast Guard aircrews medevaced two people from Dry Bay Airstrip, approximately 30 miles southeast of Yakutat, Alaska, after a plane crash on May 25, 2022. Coast Guard District 17 personnel received an emergency locator transmitter alert at 3:15 p.m. Coast Guard Sector Juneau command center personnel also received calls from Good Samaritans reporting that a Dehavilland DHC-3 fixed-wing, single-engine plane carrying four people had crashed.  ·  ·  ·
