Coast Guard Medevacs Teen from Cruise Ship Near Dominican Republic
A Coast Guard MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter aircrew medevacked an 18-year-old male passenger from Symphony of the Seas on Feb. 6, 2023, while the cruise ship was transiting in the Atlantic Ocean near the Dominican Republic. The patient, his mother, and a cruise ship nurse were flown to Luis Ribas Dominicci Regional Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Emergency medical service personnel then completed the patient's transport to Centro Medico Hospital in San Juan.
