Coast Guard Medevacs Passenger Southeast of Yabucoa
A Coast Guard MH-60T Jayhawk crew from Air Station Borinquen medevaced a 64-year-old German male passenger from the AIDAperla cruise ship on Mar. 30, 2022. The medevac was done by basket hoist about 60 nautical miles southeast of Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, after the passenger showed signs of a possible stroke. The helicopter crew took the patient to Fernando Luis Ribas Dominicci Regional Airport in San Juan, where he was transferred to Emergency Medical Service personnel for transport to a local hospital.
