Coast Guard Medevacs Man from Oil Rig Off Santa Barbara
Coast Guard Air Station Ventura crew members medevaced a man from an oil rig about 35 miles from Santa Barbara on June 27, 2025. Coast Guard District 11 watchstanders had received a call from the oil platform reporting that a crew member was experiencing severe chest pains.
