Coast Guard Medevacs Man Off San Diego
A 57-year-old man was medevaced from the sport fishing vessel Fortune off the San Diego coast on July 29, 2023. The vessel contacted Coast Guard Sector San Diego Joint Harbor Operations Center watchstanders to request a medevac for the man, who was experiencing heart attack symptoms. A helicopter was launched, and the hoist was completed by Coast Guard Forward Operating Base Point Mugu.
