Coast Guard Medevacs Crewman Off San Francisco
The U.S. Coast Guard conducted an emergency medevac hoist of a 40-year-old crew member 185 miles offshore of San Francisco on June 10, 2025. District 11 watchstanders received a call at about 10 a.m. Sunday from the captain of the cargo ship Aetos, reporting that the crew member was showing symptoms of appendicitis about 820 miles offshore.
