Coast Guard Medevacs Cargo Ship Master Off Oahu
An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point hoisted the ailing master of the Hong Kong-flagged cargo ship Chipol Donghai 57 miles offshore Oahu on Oct. 8, 2025. The 616-foot vessel was about 1,500 miles north of Oahu when the crew notified Coast Guard watchstanders that the master was experiencing severe chest pains.
