Coast Guard Medevacs Boater After Galveston Jetty Grounding
An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station Houston rescued two boaters from a disabled, aground vessel near Galveston, Texas, on Nov. 5, 2023. One injured boater was hoisted from the vessel for medevac. The boat had run aground on the North Jetty, and a good Samaritan called the Coast Guard for assistance. Coast Guard captions described the vessel both as a 27-foot pleasure craft and as a 21-foot cuddy cabin.
