Coast Guard Jacksonville Hoists Three People From Fishing Boat
This video has no audio with it. A Coast Guard helicopter crew rescued two men and a 15-year-old boy after the fishing boat the family was aboard became disabled in Nassau Sound, Fla., Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013. A Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission boat crew rescued four other children from the vessel as well.

The waters looked calm to me. Not sure what warranted a nighttime air "rescue." The boaters could have slept the night on calm waters and arranged a tow boat the next day. I am guessing Gov caught wind that the boat lost its power and turned it into an emergency.

That's common here in Florida, if the captain radios an emergency request, they will go 99% of the time, especially if they have good coordinates.
