Coast Guard Cutter Benjamin Bottoms (WPC-1132) interdicted a 25-foot white Sea Ray near Point Loma on Sunday morning.

At about 10:55 a.m., the cutter's crew monitored the vessel displaying suspicious behavior and launched a small boat with a boarding team. The team found 10 people aboard, all claiming Mexican nationality.

Coast Guard Maritime Safety and Security Team Los Angeles/Long Beach arrived to assist. The vessel and the 10 people were taken to Ballast Point, where they were transferred to U.S. Border Patrol Imperial Beach Boat Station Unit members.
