Coast Guard Hoists Woman from Car in Niagara River
A Coast Guard Air Station Detroit MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew hoisted an unresponsive woman from a vehicle submerged in the Niagara River, New York, on Dec. 8, 2021. New York State Park Police requested assistance after a report of a vehicle in the river at the brink of the falls. An aviation survival technician deployed from the helicopter and retrieved the woman from the vehicle. She was later pronounced deceased by local EMS.
