Coast Guard Hoists Missing Hiker from Shore Acres State Park
A 64-year-old hiker was found in Shore Acres State Park on Dec. 8, 2024, after being missing for 48 hours. She had separated from the party she was foraging with. A local government agency search party located her near a fire, sheltered in an emergency blanket. A Coast Guard rescue swimmer from Air Station North Bend and a local partner agency member were with her before she was hoisted into a Coast Guard rescue helicopter and brought to local EMS.  ·  ·  ·
