Coast Guard Hoists Man from Capsized Sailboat in Ossabaw Sound
A Coast Guard Air Station Savannah MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew hoisted a man from a capsized 33-foot sailboat in Ossabaw Sound, Georgia, on March 22, 2023. Coast Guard Sector Charleston command center watchstanders received a notification on VHF-FM channel 16 from the sailboat operator, who said the vessel was taking on water and hitting the rocks. The helicopter crew spotted the man clinging to the hull before hoisting him from the sailboat.  ·  ·  ·  ·
