Coast Guard Helps Rescue Missing Hunter Near Klawock
The Coast Guard assisted Alaska State Troopers in locating and rescuing a 73-year-old hunter missing near Klawock, Alaska, on Nov. 26, 2022. A Coast Guard Air Station Sitka MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew launched, arrived on scene at about 8:37 p.m., located the hunter, hoisted him, and transferred him to waiting EMS and Alaska State Troopers at Klawock airport.
