Coast Guard Escorts Partially Flooded Catamaran Off Freeport
A Coast Guard Station Freeport 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew assisted seven people aboard a partially flooded 26-foot catamaran about 20 miles off Freeport, Texas, on Aug. 28, 2022. After receiving notification that the catamaran was taking on water, the crew escorted the vessel and those aboard safely ashore. The crew was ready to assist if the vessel's pumps could not keep up with the flooding.  ·  ·
