Three boaters were rescued after their 25-foot oyster boat caught fire and sank outside the Houston Ship Channel in Galveston Bay, Texas, on Nov. 6, 2022.

A nearby dredge barge crew removed the three from the water. A Coast Guard Station Galveston 29-foot Response Boat-Small crew medevaced them from the dredge barge and transported them to Station Galveston.

Emergency medical services personnel were waiting there to take them to the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston. A Coast Guard Air Station Houston helicopter crew provided oversight during the response.
