Coast Guard Assists Rescue of 208 Haitians Off Andros Island
A Coast Guard Air Station Mobile HC-144 air crew spotted a sail freighter about 40 miles off Andros Island, Bahamas, on March 23, 2022. Crews from Coast Guard Cutter Mohawk and Coast Guard Cutter Raymond Evans assisted the Royal Bahamas Defence Force in the rescue of 208 Haitians aboard the sail freighter.
