Coast Guard Assists 21 on Disabled Vessel Off Maui
Coast Guard Station Maui crew members assisted 20 adults and 1 child aboard a disabled charter vessel near Maalaea Harbor on May 28, 2026. A 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew embarked the 21 passengers from the Maui Diamond after its engines became disabled and emitted smoke while the vessel was transiting to the harbor. The Station Maui crew safely transported the passengers back to Maalaea Harbor.
