Air Station Savannah Crew Hoists Boater Near St. Helena Sound
A Coast Guard Air Station Savannah helicopter crew hoisted a 65-year-old man on March 15, 2025, after his vessel became grounded near St. Helena Sound, South Carolina. The crew safely transferred him to Beaufort County Rescue at Beaufort Executive Airport.
