Air Station Humboldt Bay Rescues Child Near Big Lagoon
A Coast Guard Air Station Humboldt Bay MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew rescued an 11-year-old girl near Big Lagoon County Park, California, on July 17, 2025. Sector Humboldt Bay watchstanders received a report from the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office at 4:06 p.m. that the child was in the water. The aircrew was launched to medevac her and transport her to emergency medical personnel for further care.
