9 Rescued After Vessel Allides with Oyster Bed Near Daufuskie
Coast Guard Station Tybee and partner agencies rescued nine people from the water near Daufuskie Island, South Carolina, on July 30, 2022, after a 20-foot vessel allided with an oyster bed. A Station Tybee crew member transferred a mother and child to emergency medical services at Alljoy Public Dock. They were taken to Memorial Health University Physicians - Children's Care. Two children from the vessel were transferred to a Beaufort County Marine Response boat for further medical assistance.  ·  ·
