5 Assisted After Fishing Vessel Disabled Off Galveston
A fishing vessel with five boaters aboard became disabled 190 miles offshore Galveston, Texas, on Feb. 13, 2022. Coast Guard Cutter Jacob Poroo began towing the vessel, but the tow line separated. A Coast Guard Station Port Aransas 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew then took over the tow. The RB-M crew transferred the five boaters to Seatow, which completed the tow to Port Aransas Marina.  ·
