45 Rescued from Princess Guam Off Agat After Engine Smoke
Coast Guard and Guam Fire Department crews rescued 45 people from the Princess Guam, a disabled 45-foot catamaran off Agat, Guam, on Oct. 10, 2025. Coast Guard watchstanders received a VHF-FM channel 16 report at 9:30 a.m. that smoke was coming from the vessel's engine compartment. Guam Fire Rescue 3 arrived off Agat Bay at 10 a.m. and reported smoke from the engine compartment. Two 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crews and a 29-foot Response Boat-Small crew from Coast Guard Station Apra Harbor evacuated the 45 passengers and transported them to Agat Marina. An RB-M crew then towed the Princess Guam safely back to the marina.
