2 Overdue Boaters Rescued Off Ponte Vedra Beach
A Coast Guard Air Station Miami air crew located two overdue boaters 64 miles offshore Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, on Sept. 15, 2022. The men were on a disabled boat. The two mariners had been unable to reach their family by radio and did not have an emergency position indicator radio beacon onboard. A Coast Guard Station Mayport boat crew later conducted a post search and rescue boarding on the boat at Morning Star Marina in Mayport, Florida, an inspection done after every search and rescue case.  ·  ·
