11 Rescued from Disabled Burning Boat Near Vermilion
U.S. Coast Guard Station Lorain responded July 19, 2022, to a report of a disabled 28-foot pleasure craft with smoke coming from the engine compartment near Vermilion, Ohio, on Lake Erie. There were 11 people aboard, all wearing lifejackets. The Station Lorain crew arrived and pulled seven people from the water. A Good Samaritan vessel had rescued the other four, who were then transferred to the Coast Guard crew.  ·  ·
