Viaduct Section Collapses in Russia, Leaving 2 Injured
The Zagorodnoye Highway section in the Russian city of Orenburg in the direction of Lenin village has reportedly been under repair for several weeks. Repair of the overpass was supposed to be completed in the middle of next year. The regional department of the Russian Emergency Ministry said that a viaduct section collapsed in Orenburg in the evening of 2 December. Emergency services are currently forming an operational headquarters. According to Orenburg Media, two sections of the viaduct collapsed. At that moment, there was a truck and a car in the danger zone. The collapse occurred at 19:40 local time. However, alarm signals about the unsatisfactory condition of the overpass began to sound earlier. So, one of the motorists drew attention to a cable hanging from the bridge, and someone was seriously scared, seeing the gaps between the spans. But for now, the main reason for the collapse of overpass spans is considered to be the passage of a truck loaded with gravel over it. Two people got injured, one person (32) has a lacerated face wound and a concussion and is in the Hospital. He underwent a CT scan of the brain that showed a slight concussion of the brain. The second person is a 56-year-old Orenburger. He has bruises on the elbow and knee joints and also lacerations over his body. |

Re: Viaduct Section Collapses in Russia, Leaving 2 Injured
Russia is the size of three North Americas put side to side so most of it is rural areas, swamps and forests. Tempered and Arctic regions dont have cold summers by the way, Siberia deep inland has very hot summers
