Texas Railroad Trestle Collapses After Fire
On May 19, 2013, a 300-yard railroad trestle over the Colorado River, about 10 miles west of Lometa, Texas, burned and collapsed. The fire began on the trestle's western side at about 4 p.m. Its origin was unknown. Volunteer firefighters from Lometa found the fire uncontrollable when they arrived. No injuries were reported.
