Tanker 123 Crash After Left-wing Fatigue Failure
On July 18, 2002, Tanker 123, a firefighting PB4Y-2, crashed after its left wing failed. Fatigue cracking in the left wing's forward spar and wing skin had gone undetected because of inadequate maintenance procedures.  ·
