Southwest Flight 149 Nose Gear Collapse During Pushback
On August 4, 2016, Southwest Airlines Flight 149 was being pushed back from its gate when the tug accelerated beyond the limit and then stopped abruptly. The aircraft's momentum pulled the nose gear in the direction it folds for retraction, causing it to collapse. Everyone deplaned, and no injuries were reported.
