Safety Bar Failure Throws Five Children from Lopburi Ride
On November 30, 2019, a ride at a city festival in Lopburi, Thailand, suffered a safety-bar failure during a crowded period. The attraction had reportedly developed an operating problem that was ignored. The safety bar released, throwing five children from one end of the ride. The operator stopped the machine seconds later to prevent further injuries. Five people were injured, reportedly suffering bruises.
