I was an industrial electrician all my working career and the same thing happened to me. I was working with high amp 480V three phase and had a direct short right in front of me. I was taken to the hospital because the ultraviolet rays burned both of my eyes to the point to where I had blisters all over both eye balls! Couldn't see for a week! Worst pain I ever experienced!
