Roof Collapses After 4 Inches of Rain During Remodel
On December 31, 2020, a building undergoing remodeling suffered a roof collapse after about 4 inches of rain fell in one hour. Emergency overflow drains had not yet been installed. The roof drainage openings had also not been cut in, allowing water to collect on the roof until the structure failed under the weight.  ·
