Rocket-powered Lincoln Fails Saint Lawrence River Jump
In October 1979, a rocket-powered Lincoln Continental attempted a one-mile jump over the Saint Lawrence River. The driver had been substituted for the planned stuntman. The jump failed, and the driver suffered significant injuries, including a broken back, but survived.
