Rail Grinding Train Crashes into Stavoren Shop, 2010
A Speno rail grinding train failed to stop at the end of the line in Stavoren, Netherlands, on July 27, 2010. It collided with an empty fuel truck before running through a shop. The two drivers suffered minor injuries. No one was killed. The official investigation found that the train braked too late because the driver did not obey the approach marker signal, while the automatic train protection system was inoperative.  ·
