Milan Residential Tower Fire Prompts 70-family Evacuation
A residential building in Milan caught fire on August 29, with the blaze reported to have started around 5:45 p.m. on the top floor. The flames spread rapidly, reportedly aided by facade cladding that included polystyrene. About 70 families were evacuated. Some people suffered smoke inhalation, but no hospitalizations or fatalities had been reported. Firefighters entered the building to check every apartment.
