Metro Train Overruns Stop Block Onto Sculpture in Spijkenisse
On November 2, 2020, a metro train overran the end-of-track stop block in Spijkenisse, the Netherlands, and came to rest nearly horizontally on a sculpture about 10 metres above the water. The train passed through the barrier and was supported by the artwork. Accounts indicated that automatic stopping systems also failed.  ·
