Metro Overruns Stop Block Onto Whale-tail Sculpture
On November 2, 2020, a metro train overran the stop block at the end of the line near De Akkers station in Spijkenisse, the Netherlands, and came to rest on a whale-tail sculpture. The incident happened during the night, when there were no passengers on that section of track. The driver was taken to hospital for a checkup and was reported uninjured. No injuries were reported.  ·
