Re: Man Records Tornado That Kills Wife
Damn, I think I'd rather have died with my girl, than to lose her and survive myself.

Not too expirienced in psychology, but I think, it's not the steel eggs that make him stay, but stoned condition of ultimate fear, that turns you into static camera yourself. Felt something alike in a car crash when saw a bus in front went to opposite driving line 5 secs before crash itself.

Re: Man Records Tornado That Kills Wife
Wow. This video hits super close to my heart. My sister lives in a town just 10 miles south west of Fairdale. I remember this day and this storm very well. I had just called her to warn that the storm turned tornadic and she answered long enough to say that she was looking at it (she was driving home and was nearly there) and that she had to let me go to call her husband and make sure they were OK. It was terrifying. The tornado passed just north of her house (no damage aside from minimal roof) and went on it's path of destruction to Fairdale. It's a very small farm town and the ENTIRE place was absolutely destroyed. They had a little wildlife sanctuary that was demolished and lost quite a few of the animals (though many did survive). The next few days people were finding horses, cows, goats, chickens wandering around completely confused. It was so sad. Tornadoes are absolutely terrifying because they are totally unpredictable. You don't know when they are coming or where they will track.

Re: Man Records Tornado That Kills Wife
Horribly scary. My aunt took a direct hit in Florida in the early 70s and with the damage to her home she was lucky to be alive....no storm cellars here...just your bathroom or a hallway in the middle of the house. Absolutely terrifying
