Lake Dunlap Dam Collapse, May 14, 2019
A section of Lake Dunlap Dam on the Guadalupe River Authority system collapsed on May 14, 2019. One side of the dam failed at about 8:05:53, rapidly draining the lake and leaving docks high above the remaining creek channel. The Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority later developed plans for a replacement dam. Estimated repair costs were reported at $29 million to $41 million.
