Huge Protective Wall Along with Several Houses Collapses
A huge protective wall along with several houses collapsed behind Omega High School in Khindipada area of Bhandup. The hill about fifty feet high and an equally huge protective wall was built on it. The hill is densely populated. Due to heavy rain the protective wall developed crack resulting several houses collapsing. Some locals have captured this scary visuals in their mobile phones. Although five houses collapsed along with the huge wall, no injuries were reported as all residents were evacuated in time. |

I was just in Salt Lake City, and there is a HUGE housing development on the top of a big hill (hundreds of feet high) which has one side dug away nearly up to the foundations of these houses. I was wondering who is doing it, and what will happen the next rainy season. This is NOT 100 feet. It's probably 700-800 feet up the side of the hill, all dug away and a vertical face, with all the houses at the top. Looks like a headline waiting to happen.  |
