Haul Truck Crushes Technicians' Car During AC Repair
On May 30, 2021, a haul truck accidentally crushed a car carrying technicians who had arrived to repair its air-conditioning system. No injuries were reported. Large haul trucks have a major blind spot directly in front of the vehicle. Mine-site safety measures commonly include high-visibility pole flags, radios, designated parking areas, and required separation from haul trucks.
